It all started with a rope, a tire and a tree. Add a kid and it spelled FUN.
There is nothing like a swing for fun! This is something we begin to enjoy as infants …
Can you recall the sound of your child’s laughter while swinging?
Music to our ears!
When was the last time you heard this song?
How inviting, this destination.
What’s in your backyard?
This week I’m hooked on Swings. To see what others are hooked on, visit Julia’s Hooked on Houses Friday Blog Party and Melissa’s The Inspired Rooms Beautiful Life Friday.
We kept our swings and our sandbox way too long. I was sentimental. I finally took it all away, made it more adult back there. But I think having children and their stuff around makes you feel most like an adult.
ReplyDeleteWe have a pool and wide open spaces- but I do have a tree swing in the front. =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful post topic! The tire swing looks especially inviting.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I am having my first giveaway on my blog if you're interested!

Awww. A few houses ago when we had kidlets and not teens/young adults, we had a great tire swing in the pear tree and a dirtpile for the boys (just a huge mound of dirt a neighbor brought over with a tractor. Mudpuddle boots and shovels and trucks and the kids were busy all the live long day. How fun. Such memories!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
This was a really good site and I loved it. I have been looking at some blogs to some ideas for some good patio accessories and I love swings and so maybe Ill put it in my back yard for my kids. I think that would be so much fun!
