A Southern Winter Wonderland

It’s not often that Wilmington, NC finds itself in the path of a major winter storm event.  Maybe this happens once every decade.

Well, it happened for southern North Carolina residents last night.  Here is what we woke up to this morning!

The snow-covered landscape seems surreal--

Last night on the evening news, Brian Williams reported that 49 of our 50 states reported measurable snow last night.  That is quite a statistic!

Snow  is especially appropriate now as all eyes are on Vancouver for the Winter Olympics.

If the snow has found you today, I hope you enjoy it as it will soon be gone!

  1. Hasn't found us...but it did find Florida! I imagine it was Hawaii that it didn't find!

  2. Your place looks like Atlanta today where this usually happens onec a year. This is our second in 2010. My high school friend put up some snow pictures from Sunset Beach up on Facebook. It's just plain wrong!

  3. Don't you just love it?! Knowing it won't last long, makes it all the more fun to me!

  4. Wow -- so does that mean every state except Hawaii has snow right now?!

We have snow too -- but then, it's Ottawa in winter, of course we have snow ;-) But nowhere near as much as we had the last two winters.

Vancouver could use some of the snow that you're getting -- can you believe it's RAINING at the winter Olympics?!

Hey, come up to Canada any time -- we're a nice bunch up here :-)

    Enjoy the Olympics!!
